This page will show you how to input results for both track (or just running) and field events post-event.
1. Track (Running) Events¶
There are two methods of recording results for track (running) events:
- Automatic (live)
However, both are relatively fast and provide minimal work for officials.

If you do not wish to use the PhotoFinish softwatre integration and just want to input your results manually, for whatever reason, this can be done very quickly and efficiently.

From your Competition homepage, navigate to the events list by clicking Start Lists / Results, Results or Start Lists depending on what stage your events are at. Choose the event in question. In this example, we are looking at a 400m.
You can see below that the competitors have been brought into a start list. However, if you are entering results post event, there is no necessity to do this. It is only really 2 nice to have so athletes fans can see the list before the event
Click either EDIT BY LANE or EDIT RESULTS. They both do a similar thing but with a slightly different layout. By Lane is often used in track races where it is easier to input results handed to you in lane order.
In this example, we will look at EDIT RESULTS.
You simply need to either type in, or copy and paste (from an excel document) the bib number and performance (time). The system will lookup the athlete details from the bib number; there's no need to include the athlete details. The Place will be calculated from the performance so this can be left blank too. You can add in Lane if relevant and you want to.
Make sure you input the results in the correct time format. For example:
- 9.58 - seconds
- 58.5 - seconds
- 63.5 - seconds
- 1:03.5 - equivalent to 63.5, first digit assumed to be minutes
- 2:03 - assumed to be an 800m time of 2 minutes, and not a Marathon, because only one colon
- 2:02:57 - a marathon time, two colons so contains hours 73:15 - a half marathon time, equivalent to 1:03:15
If entering an ultra event, you'll need to count up the hours!
Other info that you can edit here:
- In the grid
- Advancement - if your event has multiple rounds, it is here that you can sort who progresses to automatically produce a start list; just choose from the dropdown list available. (There's no need if this isn't happening on the day and you're just inputting post-event as you'll just do the same process as above for R2 and R3)
- Note - such as DNF or DQ
- Options below
- Status - Change the status of the event
- Results status - Change the status of the results
- Scheduled start time - Change the scheduled start time display
- Precision (seconds) - If hand timing, input the degree of precision
- Score overrides - If you want to override a scoring mechanism you can do it here. See the Scoring section for more info.
- Officiating - The name of the official
When you're done click SAVE and the Place and athlete details will be calculated:
You can now go back and view the public view. (Bear in mind that the public will not see the editable info on the right side of the screen below).
2. Field Events¶
The purpose of the field recording screens is to ease the workload for Meeting Organisers & Officials and to provide a better experience for athletes & spectators.
Live - Results can be inputted during the event; this is easy and instantaneous and provides the perfect way to view how field events are unfolding.
Post Event - Results can be inputted in bulk after the competition.

Post Event Input¶
If you do not want to record the events live, or are just looking to input the result post-event, then data can still be input quickly and easily. Some officials will prepare to complete a field card and allow someone else to input the data after. This does not allow spectators to see the event unfolding but will still get your results onto the web.
Head to the event you want to input for from the event page.
There are two different methods depending on the type of event: Vertical & Horizontal
We have chosen a Pole Vault in this example. There is no need to specify a start list if just inputting the data post event. The system will look up the bib number input from the competitor list and return the correct data regardless of a start list being created or not.
Click EDIT RESULTS.
You will then see the screen below. As you can see these athletes already have a "Best" height as this is the same event as the Live Recording example so some results are already there. Ordinarily this will obviously be blank.
If you click "DETAILS" you can toggle between that and "SUMMARY". DETAILS lets you see all the heights that have been added to this screen, not just "Best".
Enter the bib numbers of your athletes in the event. This is easiest done in whatever order you are copying from, so ideally the field card, which will be in start list/jump order.
After this, click the ADD HEIGHT button on the right side. This will allow you to enter the first height you need to enter a height for.
Then, enter your results in the relevant cells using the format given. You may want to input all results or just the "Best".
If you want to prepare your data in an excel document first then, enter all your heights initially and then just copy and paste all the bib and jump data.
If your athletes enter a jump-off, make sure you tick Suspend checks on legality of jump sequence (e.g. jumpoff): button. This will allow, as an example, xxxo to be allowed.
Click SAVE when done.
We have chosen a Long Jump in this example. There is no need to specify a start list if just inputting the data post event. The system will look up the bib number input from the competitor list and return the correct data regardless of a start list being created or not.
Click EDIT RESULTS.
You will then see the screen below. As you can see these athletes already have a "Best" effort as this is the same event as the Live Recording example so some results are already there. Ordinarily this will obviously be blank.
You may want to input all results or just the "Best".
Toggle between seeing all and "Best" by clicking "DETAILS" and "SUMMARY".
As you can see, "SUMMARY" shows Rounds (R1, R2, etc) and Wind (W1, W2, etc), if appropriate for the event.
Simply, copy and paste your results from an excel document or type them in.
You just need to provide the bib number and the distance(s).

Make sure you click SAVE when done.
