Competition Details Management Screen¶
The most basic details about your competition are defined in the competition details management screen.
Basic Details¶
Competition Naming¶
- Full name — The full name of the competition (i.e. what it would be called on formal documents).
- Short name — A shortened name of the competition for easier display where space is limited.
Dates¶
Note
If your competition takes place on one day only, both date fields should have the same date.
- Date — The date of the first day of your competition.
- Finish Date — The date of the final day of your competition.
Slug¶
Your competition's slug is the bit of the URL that will uniquely identify your competition. Try to choose something short and snappy!
Note
Your slug should be one which could be used every year, to enable you to use the same slug for any annual iterations of your competition. It's best to ensure your slug doesn't include any dates or sponsors, which could change and become outdated.
Type¶
You can choose from a variety of competition types in the drop-down. Make sure to pick the one which best suits your competition!
Note
Selecting the correct competition type will ensure age groups are calculated correctly for your competitors.
Location Information¶
- Venue — Look up your venue in our database, and select it if it exists. If not, feel free to head over to our facilities database to add it.
Note
Our venues database consists primarily a list of stadia, and so if you have chosen road or XC as your competition type, then this field will not appear.
- Address — The street address of your competition.
- City — The city (or town) your competition is taking place in.
Contact Details¶
- Contact name — The name of the person the contact email belongs to. Not necessary, but good to let people know who they're getting in touch with!
- Contact email — The email address at which you can receive any queries about the competition.
Organiser¶
- The organisation responsible for your competition
Warning
Ensure that your selected organisation is correct, as this field determines where money from entries is sent.
