Live Field Recording - Throws and Horizontal Jumps

You can use the recorder on a phone, tablet, or laptop, to start you must head to the event you want to record, ensuring your OpenTrack account has been given the relevant access to the competition.

Record Button

To start click the RECORD button. The recording screen will have your athletes in start list order. Click the row of the athlete you want to record an attempt for:

The Orange Arrow will appear, click to record an attempt for the athlete.

Enter Result Field

Enter the Distance Jumped or Thrown in Metres, and for Jumps enter the Wind if it's being recorded. When done, click the - - button to save the result.

Click the - F - for a foul, the --- if the athlete skips the attempt and the -R- if the athlete is retiring from the competition. If you clicked on the wrong athlete, just click the X.

First Result Recorded

You can then move onto the next athlete. If you make a mistake, click the - X - button to delete the attempt.

Mark Event as Finished

Once you've repeated these steps for every athlete in every round, just click the - - button which will mark the results as provisional.

Then someone can double check the results against the paper field card, and mark them as official.

Note

You can just compare the best performance to quickly check the results have been correctly recorded.

Function Buttons

You will find these function buttons in the top right of your screen.

You can click the red button with > and the number of the next round, to skip the remaining attempts of the current round, and move to the next round. In this case, it would skip the remaining attempts of round 2, and move to round 3.

You can also click the -+_ to add the bib number of an athlete who is not on the start list. You will have to ensure they've been added to the competitor list with their bib number assigned for the results to show them next to their performance.
