National Athletics League¶
Dealing with Team Managers¶
On the Day Provisions¶
OpenTrack strongly recommends making a laptop or tablet available (separate to those being used for results) in a location such as the results box for team managers to make emergency changes to their declarations.
This allows team managers to continue to make changes to declarations if unable to do so on their personal devices.
Such a laptop will need to be logged into an account with competition director permissions.
Answering Queries¶
Athletes will only be visible in team declarations if they are a first or higher claim club member.
If a team brings an athlete they could not declare online, ideally this should have been sorted out during the week; but it’s not your problem.
If you record a bib number in the results, the club will still get the right points and the athlete will show as “unknown athlete” — we can sort it out after the weekend.
It is up to the club entering the athlete to ensure the athlete is eligible for competition
Non-Scoring Athletes¶
Non-scoring athletes will be entered by team managers and will have a symbolic ID in the system like _A4C3. As they arrive, they should collect a unique bib number from the host club (for example 123). The host should go to Manage Competitors, find their athlete, click, and change the ‘competitor_id’ to have the correct bib number.
